Killer mobile phone application!

Today, I went to the "Web Goes Mobile 3" seminar in Grimbergen (Belgium), a seminar for large company CEO and marketing managers, agencies and ICT/web builders, with key-note presentations of (inter)national mobile experts, from Corelio, Google, InSites Consulting etc ...

All stuff was very interesting and enlightening , but especially wonderfull was the Wikitude AR Travel Guide, in my opinion. A mobile travel guide with augmented reality functionality based on Wikipedia and Panoramio, working on Googles mobile platform Android

You may search landmarks in your surroundings and view them on a map, list, and on an augmented reality (AR) camera view. You'll see an annotated landscape, mountain names, landmark descriptions and interesting stories.

A real killer application, if you're asking me. And there are even nicer things yet to come. Because Mobile is the future, people!

Why? Because there are more mobile phones than there are cars, or watches, or... in some country's... people! So yes, these experts could be right.  :-)
